dog daze of summer

we want a dog. it makes no sense, but we absolutely want a dog. maybe it’s the next step in our quest to

reach adulthood at an expedited rate. but it doesn’t really matter. puppies are so damn cute (and they lower our home owner’s insurance!).  so now that we want a dog , the debate becomes about what breed. we have very specific criteria for a dog, and it makes our search more difficult. paul doesn’t like brown dogs as much. katie prefers certain coloring on specific parts of the body. it’s tough. and then it turns out everything is online now. you cybershop for dogs here: http://www.petfinder.com. Forget shelters or the SPCA, it’s all online. wish us luck this weekend as we try to narrow it down.

To me it was never a right time to get a dog- then it happened. Even though i knew I was going to get a dog one day, it came at a perfect unplanned moment.

Remember- no matter what you want or what you are looking for- the dog/puppy always chooses you. When you see the right puppy there will be no doubts and you will just know.

Look at Jaime! I wanted a beagle/basset hound and now have a 70lb lanky buddy…totally not what I was looking for…but I knew it was right.
    Good Luck!

hooray for puppies! boh picked me at the pound, and now i am his person. it’s true — never a perfect time — but if you can give a dog a reasonable home — particularly if you take a rescue — it might be that time… (also — fun blog — looking forward to reading more — and to finally meeting you next month, katie!) — the amy part of pamy.
