the january house

January 11, 2009

Our house is always changing, but it’s finally getting to the point where we can have people over and there aren’t any rooms that are terribly embarrassingly messy.

We are also, finally, putting things on the walls.  I have anxiety about putting something up and not liking it, so I’ve been avoiding wall things.  But I’m over it, and the house looks better for it.

So a quick tour of the house in it’s current state…

front door

this wall is pretty empty. next to the door is where i want hooks.

We put wedding pictures on our wall. I feel weird about having us on our wall.

Our office is still messy, but it’s come a long, long way from the total dumping ground it once was.

and we finally got a desk

Our bedroom needs the most work at this point.  It’s messy and thrown together and I kind of don’t like it.

Actually, I’m not even going to show you the rest of that room.  It’s gross.  You can look on flickr if you want to see more.

I like our kitchen.  A lot.  Though we want new floors.  It’s tiny, so it can’t be That expensive to redo them.  Right?

Lots more pictures of our house, now and before, on flickr.

I like the title of this blog entry….you can make a children’s book…every month you can write about the changes in the house and match it with pictures form your house…it can be a book about building a family and at the same time teach the different months/seasons
