Work-trade Wednesday

Another fun harvesting day on the farm.  Harvested: cherry tomatoes (had no idea that tomato stems have a little joint where they pop off…check out a plant if you don’t know what I mean), beans (ugh), squash, cucumbers (soooo many), and eggs.  Lopped the heads off of flowers past their due, which made me sad because they were still so very pretty that I probably didn’t do a very good job at this.  And then we started tearing apart a pile of cut down trees, breaking them into small enough pieces to put in a wood chipper.  

In exchange I got: cherry tomatoes, big tomatoes, hot peppers, garlic, cilantro, pluots, an onion, beets, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, and lettuce.
