Wine & Pizza

March 14, 2010

I avoid studying at all costs.  Tonight:  wine & pizza making.

Very yummy wine and pizza recipe from familymeals

Cauliflower & broccoli pizza

The pizza was topped with tomato sauce I made with tomatoes Paul canned over the summer, local broccoli, cauliflower, and onion.  It was pretty dang good.

And now back to studying (because I actually am doing some of that too).

I am sad and drinking wine alone. I wish you lived closer. A rant:

People, try and avoid hospitals at all costs. A doctor actually told my husband, Katie’s dad, tonight, “Enjoy your time here. This is “you time”, a time for you to relax and not worry about anything. Remember, we will let you go home when your blood pressure is below 140/90 consistently.” Meanwhile the machines are buzzing all around, people are poking and prodding dad every 20 minutes or so, and his roommate, who was beat with a 2 by 4, (he tells this story to any person who enters the room, and many people enter the room), is a former Chino prisoner. The roomie swears like he has tourette’s, all night long, attempts to 3-point any trash he might want to discard, often missing and landing it in dad’s general area, and sits in dad’s chair and uses his phone when dad leaves the room.

Yep. Hospitals are pretty relaxing. Almost just like home.

No, I’m sorry, I can’t see it. Maybe my browser doesn’t show it…never mind. As long as I can read what you’re writing everything’s okay! ;o)
